Rotten mushrooms coming from China are widespread. Apart from the fact that they absorb pesticides like many other Chinese products, the mushrooms are often mislabelled to drive up the price. The producers stamp normal mushrooms with an “organic” label in the hope of making more profit for their work.

Imported mushrooms are not only filled with harmful chemicals, but are also sprayed with preservatives to look fresher. Food inspectors have found many problems with mushrooms imported from China over the years. In our opinion, it is not worth the risk. Buy your mushrooms from another source and leave the Chinese mushrooms on the shelf.
